Working for a private developer, this development was built on the former Torrington Works Industrial Site. The first phase of construction at the 20 acre site on Yarm Road, is home to a new four-storey Travelodge, containing: 60 bedrooms, a Toby Carvery, up to 4,000 sq ft of retail/restaurant space, and a speculative 17,000 sq ft industrial/warehouse scheme. Marshall (Building Contractors) Ltd also undertook extensive Section 278 works to form a new highway route and access to the development.
